Regardless of how events unfold. You can choose, right now, how you are being, and transform who you are becoming. We’re Off Balance On Purpose, in North Carolina.
Every single day, regardless of what’s happening, you are simultaneously being and becoming. We are, after all, human beings. That’s what we do. We get to BE. So why are we so bad at it? Why would so many rather be elsewhere, be different, or even be someone else, instead of simply being?
Who you are and how you experience life depends on how you choose to “be.” Be present. Be kind. Be understanding. Be hopeful. Be honest, with yourself and others. Be okay with what is, including you, and committed to making it better, and becoming.
How are you becoming? Who are you becoming? Are you become better, or simply older? Are you become wiser and more understanding, or closed off from new ideas? PLEASE answer that question in this honest moment. Who do you want to become? And are you “being” now, so that it actually becomes?
We’ve all heard the phrase, “fake it ’til you make it.” But faking it, isn’t always admirable. So how about this one ? “Cement it, because you meant it.”
We become solidly our desires , because of how we choose to be. Looking back from the future, you’ll be able to say, “Wow, I have become what I intended because I was clearly serious. I put myself into situations where I did some real learning – not just “on the job training,” but “in the life training.” I have embodied what I envisioned, and have cemented my intention to become.
Or, you can talk about your desires, but fail to take them seriously. You were busy, or afraid, and you missed the moments that you could been being and becoming.
Cement it, because you meant it. Be now. Be you. Be real. Be flawed, AND ever improving, to honestly say, I am becoming who I want to be. Until next week, stay Off Balance On Purpose.
