Are you trying to control or stop the chaos of your world? How’s that working? From Orlando, I’m urging you to create chaos.
Chaos comes in many forms. The loudest, most frightening examples dominate ours news and attention, resulting in mass
anxiety and overwhelm. But what is chaos, exactly?
Chaos is disorder caused by increased uncertainty or seemingly random events. It stems from the openness of systems, deliberate disruption, and accelerated change, driven by technology. Little things change everything in increasingly unknowable ways.
Right now we have access to so much information yet little certainty of what’s to come. That can paralyze you with fear or empower
you to create change, faster than ever before.
Instead playing defense, fending off the chaos of your life, which you cannot do, go on offense. Create positive chaos, by saying, trying and doing things you’ve not done before, which will change the course of events, your relationships and your life.
1. Clarify intentions. What do you stand for, or hope to see more of, in the scope of your influence?
2. Identify patterns. Expand your awareness. What do you notice keeps happening in increasingly bigger ways? Are these patterns you can utilize, or ones you want to change?
3. Say or do something different. Trust your gut. Respond in new ways to events, observations, and conversations. Be bold. Align with
confident intent, releasing exactness of outcome. Then stay tuned.
Starting today, go on offense. I know, it takes courage and curiosity to say or do things you’ve not done before. But it’s
thrilling to create Positive Chaos that reshapes your world. So go for it! And until next week, stay Off Balance On Purpose.
